Heavener Runestone State Park Being Closed

The Oklahoma Department of Tourism (ODTR) has announced plans to close down Runestone State Park and lock the gates on 15 August 2011.

Take Action to Save the Land & Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) Stateside Program

This week, the House of Representatives will vote, and pass, legislation (H.R. 1) that will cut current spending by at least $100 billion below the President’s FY11 request.  Floor debate began on Tuesday.

HEAVENER RUNESTONE PARK TO STAY OPEN

On May 19^th the Heavener City Council approved and executed the agreement with the Department of Tourism and Recreation (ODTR) to operate the park from 1 Jul 2001 onward. We truly appreciate ODTR for their support and assistance, and allowing this opportunity to move forward.
