City crews are working on drainage ditches in preparation for the 2010 Paving Project. The City Commission has approved and awarded the contract to J.O.B. Construction in the amount of $108,827.50 for city work. Additionally they have awarded $42,550.00 in paving to be accomplished for the Heavener School System. The project is expected to start around the 19 April timeframe.

Occasionally in Heavener, we experience street lights going out or not working properly. We then have citizens either call city hall to report this, or come to the bi-weekly commission meeting to report the problem. While we appreciate the information in any form, and then report it to the power company (OG&E) for repair, city hall calling does not effect the repair any faster. Citizens can report the problem and receive faster service by directly calling the problem into OG&E on the customer service line at (800) 272-9741.
